The FDA is alerting pet owners and veterinarians of the potential for neurologic adverse events in dogs and cats when treated with drugs that are in the isoxazoline class.
These products, which include widely-used brands such as Bravecto, Nexgard, Simparica, and Credelio, have been linked to adverse reactions like stumbling, seizures, and muscle tremors in both dogs and cats.

Bravecto is designed to work topically on cats and should not be ingested by either humans or other animals. By waiting until the product has dried completely, you can ensure that it remains effective in protecting against fleas and ticks without any unwanted transference.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is warning pet owners and veterinarians of the risk of serious neurologic events including seizures, muscle tremors, and ataxia in dogs and cats treated with certain flea and tick medications.

The bad news is that there is not a whole lot you can do to stop the seizures and tremors. A vet can administer an IV medication called methocarbomol to help with pyrethrin toxicity. However most vets don't have this on hand. You may find that an emergency clinic near you has the product.
